Privacy Policy
In short:
- I Choose collects nothing about you. There’s no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- Your name, how you’re feeling, the affirmations you save or hide and your settings stay on your iPhone.
- Apple handles every payment. We never see your card or your Apple Account.
- Questions? Write to hello@ichoosedaily.com.
Who we are
I Choose (“we”, “us”) makes the I Choose app and is responsible for this policy. You can reach us at hello@ichoosedaily.com.
This policy covers the I Choose app, its widgets and this website.
What stays on your iPhone
The app keeps these on your iPhone, in storage it shares only with its own widgets:
- the first name you give it, if you give one;
- your answers when you first open the app, such as how you’re feeling and which topics you want;
- the affirmations you save, and the ones you hide with Not for me;
- your look, your reminder times and your other settings.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. It’s included in your iPhone’s own backups if you use them, and it’s removed when you delete the app.
What leaves your iPhone
Nothing goes to us. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting service, no ads and no other company’s code that collects data. Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself, not sent from a server.
A few things go to Apple, under Apple’s Privacy Policy, because Apple runs them:
- Purchases: when you start a trial or buy I Choose Pro, the App Store handles the payment. The app asks Apple whether you have Pro; we don’t receive your payment details or your Apple Account.
- Ratings: the app may show Apple’s standard request to rate it. What you choose there goes to Apple.
- Crash reports: if you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports. You can change this under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
When you share an affirmation, your iPhone’s share sheet sends it wherever you choose; it doesn’t pass through us. If you tap Call or text 988, your phone starts the call or message directly.
If you write to us
We receive your email address and what you write, through our email provider, and use them only to answer you. We keep the conversation while it’s useful for helping you and delete it whenever you ask.
This website
This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no scripts. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
Children
I Choose isn’t made for children under 13. Because the app collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Your choices and rights
Since we don’t hold information about you from the app, there’s nothing for us to export or delete; deleting the app removes everything it kept. Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold (at most, your emails to us) or ask us to delete it, and we’ll answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the app ever starts collecting anything, we’ll say so here first and ask you in the app before it does.
